Orthodox
Conversion Course at Midreshet B'erot Bat Ayin
Midreshet B'erot Bat Ayin is offering special conversion
classes and personal guidance to conversion candidates under the
supervision of the Chief Rabbinate's Beit Din of conversion in Jerusalem.
What
does the program include?
Students will enroll in our regular learning program and have additional
tutoring and mentoring in subjects needed to pass the conversion
test. The additional classes include Jewish philosophy, beginning
Halacha, Tanach, and Hebrew Ulpan. Furthermore, each student will
meet separately with Rabbi Yosef Benarroch who will guide her in
the conversion process and determine any special needs to prepare
her for the Beit Din. The program may be adapted to the needs and
background of each student.
What is the time commitment?
The average length of the course is 1 year. Exceptions may be made
on an individual basis.
What are the requirements to
enroll?
In order to enroll in the conversion course the student needs to
have had intensive contact with a Jewish community for one year.
The conversion candidate will need several letters of recommendation
from Rabbis and others who will affirm her prior involvement with
a Jewish community. Among the letters of recommendation, at least
two letters must be from orthodox rabbis who can testify to the
sincerity of the student's commitment to Judaism. With these letters
the conversion candidate will be able to open a conversion file
with the Chief Rabbinate of conversion in Jerusalem and obtain a
conversion visa.
What is the aim of the program?
With Hashem's help this conversion course offered at Midreshet B'erot
Bat Ayin will enable conversion candidates to go through an Orthodox
conversion process recognized by the strictest authorities in Israel.
Our program will allow woman to be part of a serious Torah environment
and study in a natural and enjoyable learning atmosphere. With Hashem's
help she will be guided in the ways of Jewish life all the way to
