Why I support the tuition for one woman studying at Midreshet
B'erot Bat Ayin
I encourage each
of you reading this to imagine a world without Torah or Judaism.
Imagine a world without women or their intuitive grace. Imagine
a world without the opportunity as a woman to study Torah
and to enrich our own hearts and souls, the lives of our people,
families, friends and communities with our gifts of love,
understanding, strength, humility, beauty, creativity and
joy.
Baruch HaShem, we
can see God's wisdom in creating woman. R. Aryeh Kaplan z'tl
says we are to remember the Torah of our Mothers and our Fathers,
suggesting that the oral tradition is our Mother's and the
written Torah and its Halacha is our Father's. At Midreshet
B'erot Bat Ayin, any woman, from anywhere in the world is
invited into a house of creative love; love of the Creator,
the creative process and creative learning.
By funding the costs for one woman
to study each month of the year, as women we fulfill our part
in our Mother's and Father's Torah. Not everyone can immerse
themselves for an entire year in a combination of Torah studies
that are deepened by visits to the holy places in the land
where these historic events took place. Not all of us can
pick up a guitar and sing our love of life and G*d. Not all
of us tend to a majestic garden in the Judean Hills from which
to eat our meals. The women at Midreshet B'erot Bat Ayin are
able to and joyfully do so. By funding them, we take part
in the circle of God's creation and the illumination of the
Holy Land.

Prophetesses Devorah, Avigail and Chuldah, who bring messages
of moral order, royalty and prophetic inspiration to Israel.
